About The Collection

'Dissolve' by Grey Leifer (he/she/they) is a collection of 12 enigmatic, abstract animations–featuring an original soundscape.

“Each piece is a [study] of emotional resolve, a commentary on internal ebb and flow. These are universal experiences for people who walk through society ‘othered.’” says Leifer.

This NFT collection is Leifer's digital debut, after building a career as a fine artist, muralist, and textile designer–and as Chief Design Officer for the gender equal fashion brand, Play Out Apparel.

Grey Leifer designated 5% of net proceeds from sales of NFTs in this collection to benefit QueerCare, which assists queer individuals with the care they need–as they face community hardships, leaving them in poverty, harassed, or without a support system to go through medical procedures and gender affirming surgeries.

I would not say [my work] is inherently queer, because like all abstract art, it is subjective... Like that quote from Aniis Nin: 'We don’t see things as they are, we see them as we are.' But where it is coming from–and what I’m expressing from within me–100% is. I am queer AF, my entire being is, and that is my perspective.

About the Artist

With a background in abstract painting, Grey Leifer (he/she/they), started apprenticing working artists at age 10 and has always incorporated art into their career. With a background as a muralist, scenic artist for film and TV, and Creative and Video Director, Grey's work in textile print design inspired their love for the digital medium. This love is the newest extension of their esthetic realm.


Grey is a trans masculine, nonbinary activist living in NYC and is the Chief Design Officer for the gender equal fashion brand, Play Out Apparel.
